Independent Fiduciary Services ("IFS") is an investment advisory firm with over 20 years of experience.
Our firm provides a unique combination of expertise and a range of customized solutions for institutional investors.
We provide investment advisory services to all institutional investors including:
- ERISA employee benefit plans, including corporate and Taft-Hartley pension, 401k and welfare funds;
- Public pension funds;
- Foundations and endowments; and
- Non-profit and charitable organizations.
With our combined expertise, our services include:
- Investment Consulting on a broad-based ongoing basis or on specific topics on a project basis
- Fiduciary decision-making, where we take responsibility as an "independent fiduciary" for a specific investment transaction or asset on a project or ongoing basis
We provide independent, objective advice and decision-making:
- We are owned by seven active employees.
- 100% of revenues are from our tax-exempt institutional investor clients. We do not sell services to investment management firms to assist them in their businesses and do not otherwise receive "pay to play" money. We are not affiliated with any brokerage firms.
We have 34 employees in two offices (Washington, DC and Newark, NJ).
Our professional staff has, on average, over 17 years of professional experience.
Our staff includes:
- Eleven professionals with Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, eight MBAs, four JDs, two CAIAs.
- Backgrounds in investments, finance, accounting, internal controls, banking, corporate treasury, trustee and fiduciary responsibility - an interdisciplinary approach that provides customized solutions for institutional investors.
